EMPOWERING VETERANS SINCE 1981
The Department of Veterans Affairs launched the National Veterans Wheelchair Games in 1981 with seven events and 77 athletes. In 1985, Paralyzed Veterans of America joined as a co-presenter, helping expand the Games’ impact and reach.
Today, the Games continue to empower veterans with disabilities through adaptive sports, promoting health, rehabilitation, and community. As a proud supporter of the veteran community, the SureHands team will be onsite throughout the event, offering live demonstrations and the opportunity to experience the lift firsthand. Stop by to meet our trusted advisors, ask questions, and learn how SureHands supports safe, comfortable transfers, greater mobility, and enhanced quality of life for veterans and their caregivers.
